Patrols and Engagement Update |
||
|
Yesterday, our officers were out on patrol across Winstanley Estate and surrounding streets to ensure safety and deter anti-social behaviour (ASB).
Our team responded to a report that someone was sleeping in a cupboard within a block. Our team attended with the council who had arranged for the cupboard to be boarded up. Once officers had made sure the cupboard was vacant, it was boarded up using a Sitex door.
With the cold weather, we know some individuals may seek shelter inside apartment blocks. If you live in a block of flats and notice any Anti-Social Behaviour, such as people entering who do not live there or sleeping inside communal areas or cupboards, please report it to us via the Met Police website.
✅ Crime Prevention Tips: Always keep communal doors and your own doors locked. Do not allow strangers to “tailgate” into your building. Report broken entry systems or doors to your housing provider immediately. If you see suspicious behaviour, report it straight away.
Your vigilance and cooperation make a real difference. Together, we can keep Battersea safe.
