Patrols and Engagement Update

Yesterday, our officers were out on patrol across Winstanley Estate and surrounding streets to ensure safety and deter anti-social behaviour (ASB). 

Our team responded to a report that someone was sleeping in a cupboard within a block. Our team attended with the council who had arranged for the cupboard to be boarded up. Once officers had made sure the cupboard was vacant, it was boarded up using a Sitex door.

With the cold weather, we know some individuals may seek shelter inside apartment blocks.

If you live in a block of flats and notice any Anti-Social Behaviour, such as people entering who do not live there or sleeping inside communal areas or cupboards, please report it to us via the Met Police website. 

✅ Crime Prevention Tips:

  Always keep communal doors and your own doors locked.

  Do not allow strangers to “tailgate” into your building.

  Report broken entry systems or doors to your housing provider immediately.

  If you see suspicious behaviour, report it straight away.
